Software Engineer Posts obscene pics of girlfriend on her Facebook

 In fresh case of cyber crime, the Hyderabad Police has arrested a 24-year-old software engineer for posting her obscene pictures on social networking site Facebook.

According to media reports, the engineer identified as Vishal Madipalli used the girl's Facebook account to post her nude pictures and blackmail her.

Vishal, who hails from Hyderabad's Ramnagar, became friends with a Chennai-based girl through common friends on Facebook while he was in London for studies. 

One day, Vishal, still in London, lured the girl to come on Skype - the video chat service - and forced her to strip and pose nude for him.

She had to oblige as he had already started blackmailing her. Vishal recorded a video of her stripping and threatened that he would post them on Facebook and send them to her friends and relatives.
The girl, whose details the CID authorities refused to divulge, lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police on April 12. Vishal was arrested on Wednesday and booked under sections 66-A, 67-A of the IT Act, 2000 and sections 506, 509 of the IPC.
His laptop and a DVD containing the obscene video clipping have been seized. He was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
