Yesterday Two persons have been arrested in a case of cyber crime from Bihar's West Champaran district and seized a haul of mobile phones, sim cards and other goods, police said today. Acting on a tip off, a Rohtas police team nabbed the duo - Shivendra Tiwari and Dayashankar Kumar from a village under Chanpatia police station yesterday for transferring some mobile numbers to another service provider under mobile number portability by furnishing fake identity proofs and related documents. district superintendent of police Manu Maharaj said They allegedly used the mobile numbers to make money to the tune of crores of rupees, he said. The police also seized a laptop and a desktop computer from them, a printer, 18 mobile phones, 30 sim cards and a haul of fake identity cards from the accused persons. A case of cyber crime had been lodged against them at Sasaram police station on March 19, the SP said adding the dup were being interrogated.
